The Manor House in Castle Combe, England is in the Costwolds AONB west of London. Heathrow Airport (LHR) is the largest international airport in the area and the recommended airport to fly into for the wedding. From there, you can get into London prior to the wedding festivities for a few days or go directly to The Manor house starting Wednesday September 10th.

Traveling from London, you can reach Castle Combe and The Manor House via train and taxi or by driving directly.

Train & Taxi

Traveling by train to The Manor House is the most cost effective route. You will leave out of Paddington station in central London taking the train towards Bath and you will get off at Chippenham station, about a one hour ride is $42.50. Once you exit the train, taxis and drivers will be available just outside the station to take you to The Manor House about 10 to 15 minutes away.

Driving Direct

If you wish to rent a car or hire a driver, it is about a two hour drive west from London to The Manor House. There is plenty of parking available at The Manor House. We will provide recommended drivers for booking as we get closer to the date

Accommodations

We have reserved all the rooms at The Manor House for our wedding guests, and lodging will be available from Wednesday, the 10th, to the morning of Saturday, the 13th. Guests will be responsible for covering the cost of their own accommodations while there, with payment and room assignments taking place in June. Pricing is as follows:

  • Cosy, Cosy with a View & Comfy Bedrooms – £300 per night

  • Heritage, Heritage with a View, Luxe, Luxe with a View & Family Bedrooms – £400 per night

  • Suites – £500

Please RSVP and then text Nathan or Lauren if you would like to be placed in a room larger than a Cosy. We will do our best to accommodate preferences.

Lodging will be available within The Manor House itself or in the cottages on the property. Additionally, The Manor House owns and operates The Castle Inn, a pub just off the property that offers extra hotel rooms. If more space is needed, there are additional cottages in town (not affiliated with The Manor House) within a short walking distance. Larger hotels are also available near Castle Combe. As we have encouraged many guests to arrive in England before Wednesday the 10th to stay in London, accommodations before or after the wedding will have to be arranged on your own. We will do our best to provide recommendations for places to stay.

Things to do

The Manor House will function as our base and provide normal hotel activities for you to do at your leisure. Walk the beautiful countryside, enjoy cards by the fire, drink to your heart’s content. We are here to celebrate and relax. We will be organizing various activates throughout our time at The Manor House to keep you entertained and we will provide more information closer to the date. There is a stunning golf course on the property, and we are working to reserve tee times for there is also a tennis court.

The Cotswolds has numerous villages and manors all over the place to explore, along with the towns of Bath and Bristol a short drive away. If you are coming and going from London before or after the wedding, we are happy to provide recommendations for things to do.

Food & Drinks

There will be no shortage of food and beverages while we celebrate. The Bybrook is a one Michelin star restaurant located within The Manor House and will provide food for the welcome party, rehearsal dinner, and reception. The Manor House will have food services available throughout our stay during the day. Breakfast will be provided in the Bybrook restaurant every morning until 10:30am. Lunches will be at your own leisure either through The Manor House, the few pubs in town, or any of the villages you choose to visit. We will provide more information once we get closer to the date.
